Summarising information

My Reflection

I have been learning to find and summarise information by choosing the most important information.
I found this interesting because I had no idea who Sir Apirana Ngata was.
I found summarising the information tricky because I had to find out where to search for the information.
My next step is to try to do and finish the work without my teachers help.

I got an item to write  I wrote about a key. I thought of a lot of words. I enjoyed  writing a poem.

I am proud of my self portrait because of how well I drew.  My next step is to do it with no help.

I am learning to write a biopoem. It was helpful to have the paper to remind me about what words to write.

I am learning to summarise.

It was easy to write with a buddy and a teacher.

My next learning step is to use what I  learnt about summarising and try to do this with other texts.

My reflection

I am proud of this art which I did at Te Tuhi.

I am proud of my NZ images because of my kiwi fruit and fish.

I liked doing  the etching part.

It was awesome to see my print through my background colour.

Identifying Parts of a Graph

My reflection

I am learning to identify the parts of a graph. It was easy because I watched a slide show and I had a good example to refer to. My next learning  step is to create a graph with  data that I collect.

Welcome to my Year 5 learning blog. This year I am in Room 23. I enjoy maths.  A goal I have for this year is to try to  join as much sport as possible I hope you will enjoy my blog and leave comments.
