I am learning to recognise the value of NZ coins and to add money and give change.



I could do it by myself.  Next time I could do harder ones with more money coins.

I enjoyed watching the changes in Science experiments and playing maths games to learn my basic facts.

I am learning to identify, name and sort a range of 2D shapes according to their attributes: (number of sides, corners, parallel lines, curves, size and shape etc.)

Describing a Storm

I am learning to describe a storm using my senses.

To be successful, I will choose interesting words to describe what I can see, hear and feel during as storm.

Visual Art: Geometric Shape Art

I have been learning to observe and compare the works of other artists and to create my own art work using geometric shapes.

To be successful I needed to look at the works of Klee, Matisse and Kandinsky (right) and cut a range of shapes in different sizes and place them carefully to create my own masterpiece. (left)

I have been learning that numbers can look different but still equal the same amount.

“Mine looks different because there are three in the top and five in the bottom.  This means that 3 plus 5 equals 8.”

My Family

My Family

My family is from New Zealand.  There are 6 people in my family.  We like to swim.  I have twin brothers. Trey March 2016

In writing I have been writing about my family.  I have been learning to use capital letters and full stops in the right places.

I have enjoyed writing about my family but I found it a bit tricky to get the capital letters right.
